The 3 Rivers Brewery isn’t your typical tourist attraction but a trip to our base in Reddish makes a perfect day out for any beer enthusiast. You can take a tour of the Brewery, sample one of our award winning ales in the bar and, of course, you can buy lots of 3 Rivers goodies to take away, including our full range of bottled beers and other merchandise from our well stocked shop.
Our managing director and head brewer, Mike Hitchen, runs occasional master classes where he gives visitors an insight into the history of beer in the UK and around the world; an understanding of the brewing process; an appreciation of the subtle differences between beers, their colours, aromas and flavours, and the chance to learn how to transform some pretty mundane ingredients into a very special brew. Participants taste a selection of beers, learn how to marry the right beer with the right food and leave armed with some surprising beer facts that will amaze their friends in the pub.
The Brewery, with its dedicated bar area – the Riverbank Room – also provides a unique venue for corporate entertaining, product launches, parties, receptions and the like, as well as the many themed comedy and music nights we host throughout the year.
And, for those extra special events, we can help you create your very own beer - or if you’re on a budget, your very own labels - to help commemorate your occasion in style.
